The Band Eclypse

I happen to be fortunate enough to be friends with most of the 8 members of The Band Eclypse. They are a local band that has a very promising future. Especially since they won the amateur contest at the Apollo theater multiple times and opened for KRS-One. These 7 guys and one especially talented girl are some pretty inspiring people. Scotty-drums, Andy-studio piano, Ziya-bass, Jeremy (Triple J)- rapping, Jamie-singing, Daniel (LED)-rapping, Eric-guitar, and last but certainly not least Matt also on guitar. They are ranging from Freshman in high school to college and they have varying schools. Their band has a fanbase of about 600 (facebook) But it seems to be a lot more. They performed at Don Hill's a club in NYC last night and i was their to experience the entire thing. They had the crowd going wild and even a few people running up on stage. Although, they experienced technical difficulties and had to take a few breaks the crowd continued chanting and screaming their name while they had to stop. Humorously, when they were fixing their technical problems they played popular songs and were dancing and had the whole crowd moving. Tonight, they are competing in The Break Contest to get into Bamboozle, which with very little doubt I think they will succeed to move forward to. They write all there lyrics and music within the band and include experiences and emotions that are easy to relate to in the crowd. Personally, i was jumping around and screaming the entire time, and i know everyone else seemed to have fun. This band has a promising future and i know that in that someday im going to be very thankful i knew them know and supported them all the way. Check them out(:
